"Leaked" New Forbidden E-Dreadnought 2025 with DJI Avinox Motor
The hype is real and the community can´t wait to finally see the new ebikes from the Canadian mtb brand, the e-Dreadnought and e-Druid.
This photoshop -or paint- image of the new Forbidden E-Dreadnought with the new DJI Avinox system has surfaced on Reddit, posted by user TrailChz99, the comment, titled "Forbidden’s New eeb?", shows a clearly made up version of what the actual bike could look. While this image is based on what it seems to be the front triangle of an Orbea Rise and the rear triangle of the Dreadnought, the details remain secret and there is no official photos of the bike. It will be actually interesting to see if Forbidden is moving the shock to a vertical position since none of their current bikes uses an upper rocker link.
The partnership with DJI could mark a game-changing step in motor technology for the brand. As speculation spreads, fans are impatient to see if this leak will prompt an official announcement soon.
The DJI Avinox Ebike System is DJI’s debut innovation in the e-bike market, featuring advanced technology aimed at redefining electric mountain bike (eMTB) performance. It pairs compact, high-power components with smart technology for a natural riding experience.
- Weighing only 2.52 kg, the motor delivers an impressive 105 N·m of torque, making it suitable for challenging terrains
- Riders can choose between 600 Wh and 800 Wh batteries, both lightweight and offering long-range capabilities. The 800 Wh option supports rapid charging with GaN (Gallium Nitride) technology, reaching 75% in just 1.5 hours
- The system continuously adjusts motor assistance based on riding resistance, providing an efficient and natural pedaling experience
- A 2-inch touchscreen display shows ride data and supports customization through the Avinox app. The system is Bluetooth-enabled, allowing integration with devices like smartphones for enhanced functionality
- It includes GPS tracking, smartphone-based locking/unlocking, and alarms to deter theft
The Avinox debuted with the Amflow PL, an eMTB created specifically to showcase the system. This lightweight bike has already drawn attention for its design and was recognized with a Eurobike Award in 2024 for its innovative components.
